August 2010: Spring/Summer 2011 collection showed at PURE

We took part in PURE London between the 1st and 3rd August. We had been away from the trade show euphoria for a while awaiting the arrival of our new Spring/Summer 2011 collection. Our designer Lenny Trines arrived from our studio in Colombia after having spent almost three months working on this new collection. As always she managed to impress us with an amazing new collection. We had our best PURE show so far, specially with international accounts in Jordan, Kuwait, France, and Bermuda. We also had our jewellery in the main catwalk. All in all a very positive show!. Well done to our designer for bringing such unique and beautiful jewellery to this show!

May 2010: Autumn/Winter collection released

LeJu expands its collection, with exquisite colours, shapes and escalating sizes, giving statement jewellery a whole new meaning for autumn/winter 2010. Exploring with new materials such as red lava beads, deep blue azurite, green and pink swirled unakite, pale green opalite, coconut, recycled compressed wood, jasper, and Amazonian seeds, LeJu continues with their use of vegetable ivory – their trademark - mixed with silver, gold and copper ceramic beads. The new collection brings together intense colours and bold structure, threaded together using leather, hemp, waxthread, stainless steel wire and gold-plated wire.

Key pieces include the Harnas necklace comprised of two strands that snake down the front of the body and join at the back. The Tayrona necklace sees intricate bead overlapping and a rich blend of semi-precious stones highlighted with carved beads of vegetable ivory. This LeJu collection is editorial reverie. “We’re now in our sixth year of business and I really wanted to celebrate all that we’ve become. I’ve pushed the design the furthest it’s been and there are some amazingly complex editorial pieces. I can’t wait to see the reactions. It’s LeJu as it’s never been seen before!” Lenny Trines, Designer

This collection is now available here and also at a number of selected stockists including Penelope stores in Brescia, Italy.

January 2010: LeJu An Artful Pairing:

LeJu will be sold at the Royal Academy of Arts from 23 January - 18 April 2010 to complement the much-anticipated Van Gogh exhibition – the first of its kind to take place in over 40 years.

Three of LeJu’s popular designs will be available for purchase: The Bubble necklace, the Flor necklace, and Polo earrings. The passion, creativity and vibrancy behind LeJu’s jewellery will be a perfect addition to Van Gogh’s own use of colour and complexity.

When asked how the partnership came into being, LeJu’s Dutch-born designer Lenny Trines revealed, “LeJu jewellery is a permanent fixture at the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam and our collection was spotted by one of the Royal Academy of Arts organisers who thought it would be the perfect fit to sell alongside Van Gogh’s work at the exhibition. We’re really proud to have our jewellery at the Royal Academy of Arts in London, especially since we are London-based.”
